7:40 AM Chicken on Fire

Ok- so I've lived in the same place for about five years now and every so often I see the sign below. It always gives me a chuckle. The last two times I saw it I meant to go shoot it but failed for whatever reason. Since I'm probably moving soon I've had my eye out and given it was on or near Memorial Day that I remember seeing it last I was prepared.

When I pulled up the owner of the sign was getting ready to take it down- but when he saw me pulling out my gear he started giving me the story. Twice a year he holds a "raging" party inviting anyone that wants to join from the area. Just bring meat for the grill and be ready for some good times. The party includes food, beverages, a pool, horse shoes, and ping pong. If I remember right he had about 200 people at this last one...

About the sign... He's had the same one for about 10 years. It's been stolen once and returned safely. It is made from bike boxes. Cool.
