6:16 PM Rockstar and BMX

I know I just did a post about BMX the other day but it made me realize I have not been shooting enough BMX lately. I love shooting it but it seems it's been pushed to the back burner for other pressing stuff lately.

While I was shooting some product stuff in our warehouse the other day my buddy Andrew Jackson stopped by so took a few shots of him while he shredded the ramps. Strobes were set-up for the product stuff, so I went no flash and tweaked it in post. Jeremy posted the frame just before this one on his blog Liquid Dirt. While searching for some other stuff I remembered I shot more than just Bohan at the Dew Tour in Chicago. Checking up on the Rockstar site I was glad to see they used a few of the photos I had selected for them. Head for site and go to the athlete bio's for "BMX." The main action shot for the Bio's of Dennis Enarson and Ryan Nyquist were from my favorite spot to shoot dirt at that event. They did a bit of a treatment on them and cropped out the roll-in but it still looks pretty good.

The warehouse can be pretty dark- so this was shot @1/160th, F2.8, ISO 2000






Dennis Enarson. I think I was the only photog that was shooting from this spot. It was actually the farthest away I could get while remaining in the venue area. I had to climb up on top of a container as well. Glad I did as these turned out unique compared to what I saw from others there.
