9:46 PM Sea Otter

Just got back from The 09 Sea Otter Classic. I think this is the first time I've been where we did not see a drop of rain and the wind was not too bad. In fact both Saturday and Sunday were extremely hot. I think I hiked at least 100 miles covering every Giant Pro Athlete. Thanks to Deane, Hot Dog, and Brad for being my sherpa! Thanks to the athletes for making some podiums! I'm sure many of the photos will pop-up soon.

For now I have one of the winner of the DH on Sunday. I shot this one on Friday during practice. After a year off "the circuit" Mick is back and on a terror. The look in his eyes in practice pretty much says it. He is focused.

300mm 1/320 @ F5 ISO 100

The sun is slightly behind and right of him. There is a AB1600 at 1/2 power with the large reflector and diffuser about 15 in front of him camera right, and a Quantum T5dr with bare reflector at 1/4 power about 10 feet in front of him camera left.
