8:28 PM Cross Vegas 2011

Amidst the crazy crowds of Cross Vegas, and little time or ability to move around I was able to shoot the little gem above. I spent all of 2 minutes. I didn't bother asking him to look to ironic as he had that figured out already.

The "Wheeler's and Dealer's" race is serious business. George Barthel was on a mission and had his game face on. He didn't quite make the podium this year- but he did win the internal bragging rights of fastest one wearing a Giant Jersey.

Cross Vegas ranks up there as one of the more challenging races to shoot well. For one if you are working the Interbike show you are already 3 longish days into shooting and are probably behind on getting your photos in, or tired from going out after work. Then you get handed a pretty basic looking course of grass and tape, plus a few barriers. Oh- and it's dark, hard to move around and things happen fast. I'll still shoot it next year though... Cause I dig photos like the ones above.
