1:53 PM The Enforcer
6:12 PM Downieville Classic

Working conditions were tough in Downieville. No or little cell service and sketchy internet. Been pretty busy so I decided to set-up camp and finish some work as the Giant Pit was being put away above me.
Downieville isn't for the weak of heart. It's tough riding, tougher racing, and challenging to shoot. Giant owned it though. More here:

I'm sure this will turn up elsewhere...

10:12 AM Thursday Ride Time Lapse
Been thinking about doing one for awhile just didn't have the "light bulb" go off on the right subject for my fancy. Giant celebrated Ride Like King this past week and given the amount of people that would do the Thursday night ride and the amount of stills I've shot over the years during this ride it seemed the perfect venue to go for it.
The total time from the first shot to the last is 1 hour 30 minutes. Total photos at 640. 630 were shot remotely from a tripod using a pre-trigger cord and 2 Pocket Wizards. Those are the shots around the picnic table. I did it this way as riders arriving to the top of the climb were of varying fitness levels and I wanted to keep the time lapse moving with action. Some of those shots were taken every 1-2 seconds others had a gap of as much as 10 minutes. The remaining ten shots were handheld.
